Actualiteit: Blok officieel racistisch

De kogel is nu ook officieel door de kerk: het Vlaams Blok is definitief veroordeeld wegens racisme. Vandaag bevestigde het Hof van Cassatie het eerdere arrest van de rechter in Gent. Over dat arrest bestaan heel wat misverstanden. Twee sites brengen licht in de duisternis.
De site van het Centrum voor gelijkheid van kansen en racismebestrijding houdt het bij een zeer droge weergave van de feiten. Naast een beknopte samenvatting van de grond van de zaak, moet U het stellen met de tekst van het arrest dat door het Hof in Gent is geveld.
Interessanter is de brochure die Linx+ (de cultuurorganisatie van het ABVV) heeft gepubliceerd. De tekst over het vonnis van de rechter in Gent is mooi geïllustreerd en geeft antwoorden op een aantal vragen over het arrest die het Blok opwerpt. Zo wordt een gans hoofstuk gespendeerd aan het weerleggen van de kritiek als zou de vrije meningsuiting nu ondergraven zijn. Rijkelijk gedocumenteerd met talloze citaten. Zeker een aanrader!
